On April 16, 2024, the META-TOO project was presented at the full-day conference organized by the Psychology of Media and Technology Division of the Hellenic Psychological Society. The event, themed “Challenges of Technology and Psychological Implications,” took place at the Department of Communication, Media and Culture at Panteion University.
The presentation, titled “The META-TOO Project: Transferring Knowledge and Technology for Investigating Gender-Based Inappropriate Social Interactions in the Metaverse,” was delivered by the project’s coordinator, Dr Maria Roussou, and focused on addressing the complexities of gender-based misconduct in virtual environments. The project emphasized the importance of technological advancements and interdisciplinary collaboration in tackling these critical issues in the Metaverse.
The conference provided a platform for meaningful discussions on the psychological impact of evolving technologies.
