META-TOO partner (Inria) was present at this year’s Dagstuhl seminar, titled: “Virtual Bodies for Real Humans – Avatars, Sensations, Emotions and Brains” from Jun 21 – Jun 26, 2026. The seminar tackled the challenges of new forms of avatar embodiment (AI assisted, robot, abstract) by bringing together experts in neuroscience and human–machine interaction who are working on cutting-edge developments in providing naturalistic sensations to users of extended reality. The META-TOO project was introduced, particularly the topic of ethics in Social VR, leading to a wide range of discussions and proposals for collaboration.
