META-TOO Research at APS 2026

The META-TOO Project was represented at the 2026 Association for Psychological Science (APS) Annual Convention, held in Barcelona from 28–30 May, where researchers presented the poster “A Chance to Act: The Experience of Interview Harassment as a Bystander and Its Consequences.”

The research, conducted by Justyna Swidrak and Katia Estevaes (IDIBAPS), explores the use of Virtual Reality to investigate how individuals experience workplace harassment situations as bystanders. The study examines the emotions, reflections, and responses that emerge when witnessing harassment in immersive virtual environments.

Presenting this work at APS 2026 provided a valuable opportunity to share findings, engage with the international research community, and contribute to ongoing discussions on Virtual Reality, bystander intervention, and gender-based harassment.
